Summer (and fall) is for sewing classes with Sew Pinellas, the local analog star

After a successful July of sold out classes, and with August filling up quickly, Sew Pinellas is already looking ahead to its autumn offerings.

The beloved St. Pete sewing studio, located at 5601 Haines Road, offers an after-school program where youth sewists meet about once a week to complete a project of the month. The studio offers returning favorite sewing classes for novice and more experienced sewists, too. Coming this fall, a new lineup of fashion design workshops will cover topics like pattern drafting, draping on a dress form, and sloper drafting.

Building a community hub, one stitch at a time

Sew Pinellas is a sewing incubator and sanctuary for both enthusiasts and those who want to learn the craft. Classes are offered in an encouraging, hands-on environment where students learn at their own pace. It’s also an oasis for those who love the craft, with the full supply store providing everything you need for any project. In the wake of big box store closures, Sew Pinellas is the local go-to for all your supplies.

From weekly classes and after-school programs to specialty retail and destination retreats, Sew Pinellas has grown into much more than a place to learn how to sew. It’s a creative hub where makers can find the tools, instruction and community to support every stage of their sewing journey. By combining education, retail and community under one roof, it has become a destination for makers across the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

With plenty of classes on the way, now is the perfect time to pick up a new sewing hobby, or rekindle the passion for the craft. Learn more and see all their offerings here.
