Waterfront fall fun, Halloween adventures, trading cards, outdoor markets, and even a night out for parents—this weekend has plenty of ways to keep the whole family happy!

Friday, October 16
St. Pete Pier Pumpkin Patch
When: Friday, October 9- Sunday October 25
Where: Family Park, St. Pete Pier, 600 2nd Ave. NE
Fall in Florida means pumpkins with waterfront views! Explore festive displays, snap family photos, enjoy seasonal treats, and pick out the perfect pumpkin. Admission is free; pumpkins are available for purchase.
Putt the Pier: Fall Pumpkin Edition
When: Friday, October 16, 5–10pm; Saturday, October 17, 11am–10pm; Sunday, October 18, 11am–9pm
Where: St. Pete Pier, 600 2nd Ave. NE
Mini golf gets a festive makeover with pumpkin-themed obstacles, hay bales, and seasonal decorations. Challenge the family to a round of waterfront mini golf, then explore the adjacent pumpkin patch.
Friday Night Shuffle
When: Friday, October 16, 7–10 p.m.
Where: St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club, 559 Mirror Lake Dr. N, St. Petersburg
Cost: Kids play free; non-member adults are $10
Introduce the kids to a classic St. Pete tradition during the city’s long-running open-play night. Equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, weather permitting.
Flicks & Food Trucks: Wicked: For Good
When: Friday, October 16, 7:30–9pm, as listed by the Pier
Where: Family Park, St. Pete Pier
Make it a movie night under the stars! Bring a blanket or low chair, grab dinner from the food trucks, and settle in for Wicked: For Good. The outdoor movie series is free to attend.
Parents’ Night Out at We Rock the Spectrum
When: Friday, October 16, 6–9pm
Where: We Rock the Spectrum–Clearwater, 12505 Starkey Rd., Suite H, Largo
A little Halloween fun for them, a few hours off for you! Kids ages 3–10 can enjoy pizza, games, crafts, treats, and a spooky glow room. Costumes encouraged; reservations required.

Saturday Morning Market
When: Saturday, October 17, 9am–2pm
Where: Downtown St. Petersburg, near Al Lang Stadium
St. Pete’s favorite outdoor market is back for its fall season! Browse fresh produce, baked goods, handmade treasures, and international foods while enjoying live music. Free admission and fun for all ages.
11th Annual Halloween Party at We Rock the Spectrum
When: Saturday, October 17, 10am–noon or 12:30–2:30pm
Where: We Rock the Spectrum–Clearwater, 12505 Starkey Rd., Suite H, Largo
Get those costumes ready for Halloween games, sensory bins, a not-so-spooky glow room, face painting, and open play. Local vendors will also host trunk-or-treat outside. Reserve your preferred session.
The Largo Day Market
When: Saturday, October 17, 10am–2pm
Where: Behind Horizon West/Largo City Hall, 440 West Bay Dr., Largo
Browse fresh produce and local vendors, grab something from the food trucks, and enjoy live music at the season’s first Largo Day Market. Bring a chair if you’d like to linger; parking is free.
International Archaeology Day at Weedon Island Preserve
When: Saturday, October 17, 10am–3pm
Where: Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center, 1800 Weedon Dr. NE, St. Petersburg
Let curious kids explore the past through hands-on pottery, interactive activities, and archaeological displays. Experts will also identify artifacts, making this a fun outing for families with budding history buffs.
Science Lab: Owl Pellet Dissections
When: Saturday, October 17, 10am-11am
Where: Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, Education classroom
Discover what owls leave behind and uncover the hidden clues of the food chain in this hands-on science program. Participants will dissect sterilized owl pellets to identify bones and reconstruct the small mammals these nocturnal hunters have eaten. $5, ages 8+, Registration required
St. Pete Fall Festival at Spa Beach
When: Saturday and Sunday, October 17–18, 11am–7pm
Where: Spa Beach Park, St. Pete Pier
Two days of free waterfront fall fun featuring live entertainment, magicians, children’s musicians, food vendors, and a Kids Zone. Don’t miss the Kids Rave at 6pm each evening, complete with music, bubbles, and colorful lights! Some activities may have a fee.
TCG Market & Trade Night: Halloween Edition
When: Saturday, October 17, 11am–7pm
Where: Coastal Creative, 2201 1st Ave. S., St. Petersburg
Calling all Pokémon kids! Browse more than 90 vendors featuring Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic, and One Piece cards, plus giveaways and a family-friendly costume contest. Admission is free with required RSVP; tournament registration is separate.
St. Pete Indie Flea at Campbell Park
When: Saturday, October 17, noon–4pm — updated vendor listing; confirm with organizer before heading out
Where: Campbell Park, 601 14th St. S., St. Petersburg
Browse local makers, vintage treasures, plants, art, and delicious eats at this free, family-friendly market. A participating vendor lists October 17 as the new date, although the organizer’s main page still shows October 11.
Charlie’s Champs: 7th Annual Spooky Cycle
When: Saturday, October 17, 3:30–6:30pm
Where: Lurie Park, 5500 62nd Ave. N., Lealman
Enjoy a free afternoon of inclusive Halloween fun with accessible bikes, Bubble Wise bubbles, animal encounters, and music with Glow Music Therapy. Charlie’s Champs says everything is free for everyone!
Tampa Pig Jig
When: Saturday, October 17, 1–10pm
Where: Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, 1001 N. Blvd., Tampa
Make an afternoon of live music, food, games, and waterfront fun while supporting NephCure. This year’s lineup includes Thomas Rhett, Midland, Kameron Marlowe, Sister Hazel, and Cassidy Daniels. Tickets required.
Spooktacular Science at MOSI
When: Saturday, October 17, 6–9pm
Where: MOSI, 4801 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa
Mix up Monster Muck, fly drones, explore spooky planetarium experiences, and discover the science behind liquid nitrogen ice cream. Candy stations, a magician, and hands-on experiments round out this all-ages Halloween evening. Tickets required.
Pioneer Nights at Boyd Hill

Drop the kids off for an enjoyable night of friends, fun, campfire, and s’mores- pioneer style! Ages 6-13 years, $20 per child.
Ruff & Rowdies Night: Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. Detroit City FC

Where: Al Lang Stadium, 230 1st St. SE, St. Petersburg
Soccer night can include the four-legged family members, too! Cheer on the Rowdies with your pup in the designated Bayshore Lounge. Dog-friendly tickets are limited, and the required waiver must be completed before arrival.

Rock & Read with Mr. E & Ms. Megan
When: Sunday, October 18, 9:30–10am
Where: The Story Garden, 832 14th St. N., St. Petersburg
Start Sunday with books, live music, sing-alongs, and movement! Mr. E and Ms. Megan bring stories to life during this interactive gathering for young children and their caregivers. Reserve a family ticket ahead of time.
Kenwood Sunday Market

Spend Sunday browsing more than 75 local vendors offering fresh produce, handmade goods, art, and international foods. Enjoy live music, food trucks, and a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere. Free admission.
A Very Broadway Christmas: Kids’ Auditions
When: Sunday, October 18, 11am–1pm
Where: Bayou Dance Club, 6541 102nd Ave. N., Pinellas Park
Have a child who loves the spotlight? Broadway on the Bay is seeking performers ages 8–15 for its holiday production at the Mahaffey Theater. Prepare the first 30 seconds of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” using the linked audition materials, and review rehearsal commitments before attending.
Halloween Doll Making Party at Hostess

Boo-ling for a Cause at Ten Pin Lanes

Dress up and bowl for a good cause! Daystar Life’s Halloween fundraiser includes three games, shoe rental, snacks, drinks, and prizes, with costume and top-bowler contests. Every ticket supports local neighbors through Daystar’s community programs.
