Interior of a coliseum hosting a sprawling art show

The 37th Annual Cool Art Show, presented by the Professional Association of Visual Artists (PAVA), is set to take over the historic St. Petersburg Coliseum on Saturday, July 18, from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, July 19, from 10 am to 4 pm. The free indoor event features nearly 70 of Florida’s most talented artists and makers, with original work ranging from paintings and photography to glass, ceramics, metal, wood, fiber, jewelry, and mixed media.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can shop for unique art, meet the creators behind the work, and explore the stories and techniques that bring each piece to life. Some of the participating artists have received national recognition, with their pieces featured in galleries and museums across the country.

Select PAVA artists will offer live demonstrations throughout the weekend, providing a rare behind-the-scenes look at their creative process.

The St. Petersburg Coliseum, located at 535 4th Avenue North, will have food and drink options available for purchase, including beer and wine. Admission and parking are free, making it one of the most accessible art events in the Tampa Bay area.

The Cool Art Show is a juried fine art and fine craft showcase, organized by PAVA, a non-profit group of working artists supporting the local arts community. In addition to organizing exhibitions and events, PAVA offers grants, education programs, and supports student artists through scholarships with the Pinellas County Education Foundation Art Awards.
