For jazz lovers looking for a hidden gem in St. Petersburg, COPA has quickly become a must-visit space on Sunday nights. Known for its Afro-Caribbean Latin fusion cuisine, COPA continues to build a loyal following with its weekly Sunday Jazz series.

The restaurant’s Sunday Jazz Nights feature a rotating lineup of talented performers celebrating the influence of Afro-Latin Jazz and its global roots. Guests can expect sounds inspired by Afro-Cuban rhythms, Brazilian Bossa Nova, Spanish Flamenco, Latin funk, classic jazz standards, and more.

Along with the music, the food has become a major crowd favorite in St. Pete, earning COPA a spot on many locals’ lists of favorite Black-owned businesses in the area. The restaurant brings together Caribbean and Latin flavors that stand out from anything else in the city.

Popular menu items include the Copa Tostones, Steak Frites, and Tacos Barbacoa. Guests also recommend saving room for the restaurant’s Golden Churros for dessert.

Visitors can enjoy the performances with full table service, dinner options, craft cocktails, wine, beer, coffee service, and hookah throughout the evening.

Because the event is open to the public and supported entirely through guest participation, attendees are encouraged to purchase food or beverages during their visit to help support the live music experience.

Due to limited space, parties larger than eight people are not permitted during live jazz nights. Seating is first-come, first served, as reservations are not accepted during performances. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for the best seating options.
