St. Pete’s American Stage, which has put on incredible performances with its “Beyond the Stage” series, broke the mold last year when it debuted its immersive “Tales By Twilight” series, taking audiences into the woods for an interactive performance in Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Now, the hit series is back with an all new production, as the celebrated theatrical company will debut “Don’t Feed The Animals,” taking place every Thursday-Sunday from January 30-February 23 at Boyd Hill.
Following last year’s sold-out debut, the much-anticipated return of Tales By Twilight is expected to be one of the winter’s hottest tickets. Reservations are available now, and we recommend securing yours quickly. Learn more and get tickets here.
This interactive storytelling experience takes guests on a journey through the sprawling trails of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, one of St. Pete’s most beautiful natural spaces. Unlike traditional theatre, the entire preserve serves as the stage, and each performance unfolds as actors and guests traverse the grounds together. While the performance makes stops along the way, where each stop takes place in each show is left entirely in the hands of the director.
Showtimes for this immersive production are Thursday through Saturday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., with Sunday performances at 6 p.m. Tickets went on sale December 24, and early booking is recommended as these unique experiences fill up quickly.
Join the mystery in Boyd Hill
Written by Anthony Gervais and directed by Dylan Barlowe, details on Don’t Feed The Animals have remained scarce, letting the mystery build before audiences even enter the dark woods.
“Who said you need to sit down to enjoy theatre?” American Stage teased. “Ditch the seat, get some fresh air, and go on a storytelling adventure through Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Tales by Twilight returns with another story on the move that will take you on a journey through the trails at Boyd Hill.”
Tales by Twilight will take place at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve at 1101 Country Club Way S, St. Petersburg, FL. The entire series runs January 30 – February 23, Thursday – Sunday. Tickets and more information are available here.
