The best way to beat the heat at this point in the summer is with cold drinks and a cool breeze. Level 11 Rooftop Bar & Lounge, located on top of the Bellwether Beach Resort at 5250 Gulf Boulevard, has become one of our favorite destinations to cool off and enjoy a cocktail, and their summer lineup of events makes visiting the scenic rooftop even better.

The monthly Full Moon Parties at Level 11 have been a hit all year (more on those below), but some of the new parties coming to the celebrated bar and lounge have caught our eye and been added to our personal calendars.

The biggest beach event of the summer is coming just around the corner, as Level 11 gets in on the 727 Day fun with a special 727 Celebration Day Art Reception, featuring the incredible works of renowned local Artist ESH. In addition to showcasing ESH’s amazing and colorful creations, the event is a celebration of all things Pinellas, offering specials and discounts for locals only.

The 727 Day Celebration runs from 5-11 pm on the rooftop, offering incredible views of the sun setting into the Gulf, and the perfect way to celebrate being local. At the art presentation, locals will discover the captivating local-inspired artworks of Artist ESH, focusing on the local vibes of our area as you dive into a world of creativity and symbolism through ESH’s unique artistic vision.

Then, beginning at 6 pm, enjoy an evening of diverse and unique beats with DJ TEO, also known as “Mr. Open Format.” His fresh and eclectic style will keep the vibe alive all night long. Few things could be more appropriate for 727 Day than local art, sunset on the beach, music, and incredible food and drink.

Celebrate the zodiac with local discounts at Level 11

Speaking of local art… The next new monthly (and weekly) event at Level 11 is an excellent showcase of the area’s talented artists, while also providing an opportunity for food and drink specials on the rooftop. Bellwether Beach Resort has announced “Local Vibes at Level 11,” taking place every Monday night from 5-11 pm.

Each Monday, guests can enjoy exclusive surprises and giveaways that keep the excitement alive all summer long as they savor tapas-style bites and relish discounted drink specials available only for locals. To keep the vibes going strong, there are live DJ sets every week from 5-10 pm, as well.

The coolest part of the new Monday night special is the monthly zodiac series. On the first Monday of every month, a different local artist is commissioned to create a piece based on that month’s zodiac sign, and the entire night becomes a celebration of the sign and those who have birthdays that month. Get ready, Leos: your time is coming on August 5th.

Some of the area’s most celebrated creators are being showcased, with the incredible Wayward Walls first up to be on display at Level 11. Each month will bring a new zodiac-themed installation featuring another of the St. Pete and Tampa Bay Area’s best artists. The artwork will remain in Level 11 all month so you can always stop in to take pictures and capture that perfect Instagram moment.

Celebrate under the full moon this July

When the moon hits your eye … it’s time to have fun. The Bellwether Beach Resort is one of the most scenic destinations on St. Pete Beach, and their latest lineup of events may be the most beautiful yet, as the celebrated resort is hosting monthly Full Moon Celebrations, from the ground floor up to the rooftop. This month’s event promises an unforgettable evening filled with giveaways, live music entertainment, celestial-themed cocktails, and fun activities property-wide.

Bellwether is one of our favorites any time of the day (and any day of the week) between the beautiful Bongos Beach Bar and Grille on the ground level and the majestic Level 11 Rooftop Bar & Lounge capping the lovely resort. There may not be a better place on the beach to catch the sunset, and now the event will continue well into the night and long after the sun has dipped into the waters of the Gulf.

The next of Bellwether’s Full Moon Celebrations takes place on Saturday, July 20 from 6 pm – 12 am, with parties at both of the resort’s celebrated bars. Both events are free to enter as Bellwether invites guests to bask in the spellbinding allure of July’s Buck Moon as you revel beneath its luminous glow. Festivities also include flag football and sound bathing, as well as live DJs at Bongos and Level 11.
