Urban Kai is a celebrated paddle board and kayak rental and retail shop with locations along the Tampa Riverwalk and off Gandy Boulevard by The Getaway. The owners just soft launched their newest brick-and-mortar at 235 15th Avenue Southeast in the Salt Creek neighborhood right next door to beautiful Lassing Park.
The shop will have longboards, paddle boards, and kayaks for sale. This is in addition to a litany of other paddling and water sport essentials. Urban Kai is known for its rentals, and that will be an aspect of Salt Creek location as well. Dolly carts will be available for renters to bring their equipment over to Lassing Park.

It’s currently in its super soft launch phase, but rentals should begin in early 2023. New to this location is the hopeful addition of wind-based equipment, and foil boards.
Group SUP outings, educational classes, and more community activities are planned for this southeast shop. Those who already have equipment will also have the option of storing their boards/kayaks at Urban Kai.
