Great news for food lovers and cyclists in St. Pete, Trail Garden, located outside the St. Petersburg Distillery (800 31st St S) announced the new chef who will take the reigns in the kitchen. Chef Reyes, known for establishing Haiku in downtown Tampa as one of the best Asian Fusion restaurants in the bay, took top prize in the 2023 inaugural Tampa Bay Wine and Food Festival: Battle of Sushi. He repeated the feat the following year.

Bringing his expertise from training in Michelin-star restaurants to Trail Garden, Chef Reyes is lending creativity to the distillery-inspired menu. He’s incorporating the Old St. Pete Burger made with Old St. Pete Sunshine Whiskey; the Tippler’s Wood Fired Peach & Burrata Salad with Tippler’s Reserve Orange Balsamic Vinaigrette; and the Coconut Crusted Grouper Sandwich made with Oak and Palm Coconut Rum.

Unforgettable experiences in a relaxing Florida vibe

Despite the distillery-inspired staples, Trail Garden is a family-friendly restaurant. A surprisingly robust kids’ menu will be available, along with fun games for everyone to enjoy, like cornhole, while relaxing around the lounge seating under the covered outdoor patio.

As per their press release, Trail Garden promises “a creative outdoor space that delivers an unforgettable experience combining the distillery’s premium handcrafted spirits, sumptuous cuisine, and a relaxing Florida vibe.”

“Visitors can expect to enjoy an innovative menu that showcases an authentic twist on tasty local favorites and masterfully incorporates the distillery’s spirits. Signature cocktails made with the award-winning spirits, including their line of Old St. Pete Premium Spirits, Banyan Reserve Vodka, Oak and Palm Coconut Rum and Tipplers Orange Liqueur.”
