One of our favorites for French cuisine and fantastic cocktails is venturing into cheesy new territory. Cassis recently launched The Market at Cassis, showcasing freshly made pizzas, baked goods, full coffee service, and a wide range of to-go treats.

Housed in the former Cassis Bakery, The Market transformed the neighboring locale into a pizzeria, café and market that provides tasty new offerings as well as a few of their old favorites. Located at 170 Beach Drive NE, The Market at Cassis is open 8 am – 10 pm Sunday through Wednesday, and 8 am – 11 pm Thursday through Saturday.

The idea behind the concept is to provide more to-go options in such a walkable and beautiful area, while also providing quick and easy options for the many people who live (or stay at hotels) in short walking distance. The pizzas are the star of the show, but The Market also pumps out house-made croissants, ice cream, full coffee service, desserts and baked goods, local juices, and even small bottles of wine and beer.

The Market also has a consistent rotation of different hot sandwiches and nice salads every day, all available to eat at the bright and airy café or take out to the park or St. Pete Pier for a little picnic. All menu offerings at The Market are available on Door Dash and Uber Eats, or call-in to-go orders.

Now, back to the star – the hot, crispy and generously-topped pizzas. Cassis ownership went all in on creating delicious pies. In fact, they spent months taste-testing different dough recipes, styles of cooking, and ingredients before eventually creating their dream pizza. All the dough is made fresh in-house, and the massive new pizza ovens help to create a crust that has the perfect crispy crunch along the edges while still offering chewiness and topping support in each bite. Pizzas are available as full-sized or by the slice.
