St. Pete is about to literally have an underground sensation. The Winfield, a swanky cocktail bar by Hi Hospitality Group, is opening this weekend in the basement of the sprawling, multi-concept Central Park St. Pete building at 551 Central Avenue.
Reservations are now available through Resy for dates beginning this Friday, July 3. Details are scant on what to expect, adding an air of mystery to the opening. What we know for sure is that it is being billed as a high-end cocktail parlor, it will offer a range of small bites (presumably upscale), and it is 21+ only.

Beyond that, we will all discover together what the experience entails. Hi Hospitality has been careful not reveal too much, with an Instagram story featuring a dark and close-up image of a bartender pouring cocktails at a marble bar serving as the only real peek inside. After years of construction on the five-story property, we’re intrigued to see what they’ve done with the basement. The main dining hall and bar is certainly impressive as it is.
The Winfield will be the latest debutant among the near dozen concepts either open or opening soon at Central Park. The Winfield is the second of four planned bars to open in the building, and seven food concepts are currently available in the main food hall.
