After 10 years, seafood gem Sea Salt closing in downtown St. Pete

Sea Salt, a beloved seafood staple in St. Petersburg (183 2nd Ave N), will serve its last dinner on December 31, marking the end of a ten-year journey. Known for its lively ambiance, fresh cuisine, and award-winning wine program, Sea Salt has drawn locals and visitors alike to its vibrant setting since opening a decade ago.

Co-owner Ingrid Aielli reflected on the restaurant’s impact and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community’s support over the years. “The past ten years have been nothing short of amazing,” said Aielli. “We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this community and thankful for the friendships and memories we’ve made together. This farewell is bittersweet, but we’ll forever cherish these experiences.”

Final service set for New Year’s Eve

Throughout its tenure, Sea Salt has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to an outstanding wine selection that enhanced the dining experience. Under the guidance of the Aielli family, Sea Salt became a premier dining destination in St. Petersburg.

“We want to thank everyone who has been part of Sea Salt’s story,” Aielli added. “Our team, our guests, and our community have been at the heart of everything we do. While this chapter is ending, the memories and connections will live on.”

As Sea Salt approaches its final days, the Aiellis invite patrons to celebrate its legacy. The restaurant remains committed to delivering its signature quality and hospitality through the last service on New Year’s Eve.
