Sage’s Playground, a new dog-friendly cafe at 218 4th Street North, is opening soon in downtown St. Pete. Ahead of the brick-and-mortar debut, Sage’s will treat the city to its brand-new coffee cart on August 28 at 7 am. The news was first reported by St. Pete Rising.
“We will be serving lattes, cappuccinos, pour-over, cold brew, matcha, chai, and a variety of teas. We can’t wait to share our love of coffee and dogs with everyone,” wrote the father-daughter ownership team Dyllan Allen and Roy Allen on Facebook. This sweet cart will offer Otus Coffee as their roaster. Otis is out of Winter Garden.

This sounds like the perfect addition to the extremely pet-friendly St. Pete. The Sunshine City also has a beautiful cat cafe, Sunshine Kitty, filled with adoptable cats and kittens.

“We have developed a relationship with this roaster over the past year and we love the coffee and everything they stand for. We can’t wait to share a cup of Otus Coffee with you!” wrote the Allens on Facebook.
They first started teasing the location in late March. An official opening date of the brick-and-mortar is TBA, you can join their email list for updates.
“We will be a place where you go to hangout with your dog and enjoy a coffee, espresso martini, have a snack or meal from our kitchen and we will even have homemade dog treats,” write the Allens. “There will be a variety of events, parties, live music and more to make it a true “playground”.”
