As the calendar turns toward fall, events season in St. Pete is getting underway. Chief among those is market season, and one of the Burg’s biggest markets announced its return. After its original opening weekend was postponed due to Hurricane Ian, The Indie Flea will officially resume its monthly markets beginning this Sunday, October 9, from 12-4 pm.

Indie Flea attracts hundreds of the area’s independent artisans, vendors, makers, collectors, nurseries and more for its sprawling market every first Sunday of the month. The shaded open-air market will be hosted under the overpass at 14 18th Street South (the area between Central Ave and 1st Ave S across from Lolita’s) from 12-4 pm each month.

The celebration of local shopping will run October-April, offering plenty of chances for seasonal goods and wares, along with thrifty finds, local food, antiques, and the like. Admission to Indie Flea is completely free and open to all ages. Learn more at

More from The Indie Flea: “We’ve sourced the finest St. Pete has to offer in locally made and curated hand-crafted goods, vintage housewares, decor, Mid-century furniture, vintage clothing, antiques, plants, collectables, food, music, art and so much more.”

Looking for more great local shopping? Don’t forget: the weekly Saturday Morning Market makes its return to Al Lang Stadium beginning October 1. The market had spent the summer running a smaller operation at Williams Park, and after two weeks off, it returns at full strength in its market season home.
