Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector, Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority CEO Brad Miller, PSTA Board Chair Gina Driscoll, Clearwater City Councilman David Albritton and other community leaders will gather Monday, April 15 to celebrate a milestone for a new, Multimodal Transit Center. The City of Clearwater will officially transfer a city-owned vacant lot—at the corner of Court Street and Myrtle Avenue—to PSTA.
The ceremonial signing signals a significant leap in revolutionizing transportation in northern Pinellas. The upcoming Clearwater Transit Center is set to supplant a neighboring 40-year-old facility, which has become inadequate for the area’s bus routes, incapable of accommodating modern electric buses, and predates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
