Get your stein-hoisting muscles in shape – one of the biggest Oktoberfest celebrations in St. Pete history is coming to town this weekend. Presented by 3 Daughters Brewing, the Inaugural Oktoberfest Beer Festival is an all-day, beer-and-polka-fueled party by the water in Albert Whitted Park on Saturday, October 14, from 11 am – 5 pm, featuring everything from local breweries and food to a VW car show and massive local market.

The festival is a true Bavarian celebration, with authentic German polka bands playing all day, a Volkswagen car show with more than 50 cars, traditional Oktoberfest games, and of course, tons of beer on tap from local and international breweries, and German food to eat from your favorite local chefs and food trucks. Oktoberfest Beer Festival will also feature a massive vendor market with more than three dozen of St. Pete’s best shops, makers and more.

General Admission tickets are $15, which include full access to the festival and its events, including the market, VW car show, food trucks, beer tents, and games. Children 12 and under get in free but must be accompanied by an adult.

All together, the event will be the city’s premier Oktoberfest celebration, as the sprawling grounds will be host to a full day of waterfront fun. The entire festival is family-friendly, including games for kids (and kids at heart) such as inflatable axe throwing, as well ice cream and other kid-friendly eats.

Those who come in their best Lederhosen and Dirndl can compete for best-dressed prizes, and 3 Daughters will also be giving away a free trip to Munich next year for Oktoberfest in Germany. There will also be stein holding competitions throughout the day, Oktoberfest games and crafts, new beer releases, and a full food truck rally with eight different St. Pete favorites.

Several of our favorite local breweries will be on hand showcasing their best Oktoberfest beers, as well, including Green Bench Brewing Co., Bayboro Brewing, Marker 48 Brewing, Coppertail Brewing, Florida Avenue Brewing Co., and 3 Daughters Brewing, along with a selection of domestic and international beers. Tidal Ginger Beer will also be at the festival, offering a tasty and locally-made NA option.

In addition to all the interactive fun, there will also be specialty Oktoberfest merchandise (including commemorative steins) and a photo booth. Food trucks will be making specialty Oktoberfest dishes as well as showcasing their usual great food, with a lineup including Lecker Schmecker, Kono Pizza Tampa Bay, Maggie on the Move, Happy Snapper, Shawarma King, and Go Stuff Urself. Great Bay Distributors will be showcasing a wide variety of local, national and international beers.
