Fourth Street’s home for Italian and deep south dining is in the news again. Restaurant review website Yelp came out with a list of the Top 100 pizza spots in America, and St. Pete’s own Noble Crust made the cut as one of the nation’s premier places for a pie.
The list isn’t ranked, and rather than being decided by votes, an algorithm identified all the businesses in the pizza category and weighed them by a variety of factors, including the ratings and the total number of reviews. Noble Crust is of course known for far more than just their delicious pizzas, but there’s no denying the popularity of this restaurant that has grown to three locations in Tampa Bay. The original in St. Pete clocks in with 1,264 Yelp reviews for an average of 4.5/5 stars.

The other two Tampa Bay honorees on the Top 100 list are Eddie & Sam’s NY Pizza in Tampa, and Cristino’s Coal Oven Pizza in Clearwater. Read more about Eddie & Sam’s through our sister site That’s So Tampa.
Noble Crust is a St. Pete success story
With a polished yet well-worn vibe and a menu that features locally grown seasonal ingredients, Noble Crust turns traditional Italian dining into an entirely new experience. Combining fine Italian cooking with deep south American ingredients, Noble Crust is the height of comfort food in St. Pete.
It’s no surprise that the restaurant has had so much success. Its founders have decades of experience in restaurants and business, and their ability to create memorable dining experiences shines through. Between them all, Tim Curci was founder of Bonefish Grill and Hops Grill and Bar, Tj Thielbar was a founding member of Bonefish Grill and a former National Culinary Supervisor for Hops Grill and Bar, and Jeff Strouse has a background in law and accounting and is a consultant for a financial services firm.
The restaurant may be known more for decadent dinners, but its Saturday and Sunday brunch is one of the sneaky best brunches in town, and the Friday lunches are the perfect stop for a half-day happy hour. Noble Crust St. Pete is located at 8300 4th Street North.
