Nicko’s Pizza, a beloved local spot, is bouncing back after suffering $75,000 in damage from recent hurricanes that left the restaurant under two feet of water. While the building undergoes restoration, co-owners Nick and Erin are serving a simplified menu from their parking lot Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Amid the cook-tent setup, the iconic “I Love Pizza” mural still stands tall on the restaurant’s wall, a reminder of Nicko’s resilience. Erin takes orders while Nick grills up favorites, ensuring the community can still enjoy a bite of Nicko’s hospitality.

Restoration is expected to finish in three weeks, with the full restaurant reopening planned for January or February.

A rotating menu of comfort food

For now, Nick and Erin are offering a variable menu based on ingredient availability. Current options include:

  • Italian sausage
  • Grilled cheese
  • Cheesesteaks
  • Hot dogs
  • Turkey and Italian subs

While pizza lovers will have to wait for the grand reopening, these comforting classics are keeping customers satisfied in the meantime.
