Tacos and beer? Sign us up. Pinellas Ale Works, one of our favorite local tap rooms, announced that Made Fresh Taqueria has now taken up permanent residence at the brewery. The Latin food truck will be open every Tuesday-Sunday at PAW, located at 1962 1st Avenue South.
Made Fresh Taqueria, as the name implies, specializes in Mexican fare created using fresh ingredients. The kitchen showcases a surprisingly large menu, with a great list of appetizers, eight different taco options, and a range of wings, flautas, burritos, empanadas, bowls, salads, desserts, and Jarritos. If the menu sounds like a mouthful, the dishes themselves are even more so.

We have yet to try out Made Fresh Taqueria ourselves, but the newest food truck in St. Pete has long been a favorite in the northern Pinellas County area. Made Fresh has been a staple at breweries like Dissent Craft Brewing, Anecdote Brewing, and Arkane Aleworks. The kitchen made its debut yesterday at PAW and will now be at the brewery every day for tasty eats to pair with great craft beer.
The appetizer menu includes a handful of snacky, dippable options, from salsa or guacamole, to huge plates of nachos or loaded queso – a cheese dip filled with your choice of protein (barbacoa, chicken, or carnitas), black beans, cilantro, and pico. The street tacos come on corn tortillas with options such as Al Pastor, Chicken Tinga, Tequila Lime Shrimp, Soyrizo, and Black Bean and Sweet Potato.
We also have our eyes on the Cuban sandwich, the massive burrito bowls, and flautas that sound borderline coma-inducing: four flour tortillas filled with mixed cheese and your choice of chicken and beef, rolled and fried to perfection then topped with guac, lime crema, queso fresco, and cilantro. There is also a kids menu, as well as arroz con leche for dessert. Made Fresh Taqueria opens at 4 pm Tuesday-Friday, and 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
