Dear friends and citizens of the ‘Burg, the time has come once again to make a choice. Will the Sunshine City defend its spot at the top, or will we sit idly by as others look to steal our crown?

I, Peter S. Burg, implore you to do your civic duty this campaign season and once again make your home, the City of St. Petersburg, Florida, the "Best City" in Creative Loafing‘s Best of The Bay.
From the Warehouse district to Kenwood, from The Edge District to Euclid St. Paul, from the southside to the northside, and from Carillon to downtown, we are on a mission to get every man and woman with a computer to vote over the next 30 days.
Why is it so important that we all vote? It’s much more than just pride. With victory, we solidify our place as the Bay’s most progressive transformation over the last 10 years. I see nothing but a continued march towards new businesses, more jobs, economic growth, and even more opportunities for a higher quality of life. I see flocks of talented artists continuing to chose the ‘Burg as their home and inspiring our place as an internationally-renowned "world-class" destination.

Even iLovetheBurg.com/Dowtown St. Pete shattered precedents by taking home the Best Facebook Page and Best Local Website, beating out other internet titans as many of our local venues, restaurants, organizations and ‘Burgers deservedly won accolades. Now, let’s bring it home one more time.
We may not have the pocketbook or political firepower that bigger cities have, but we have the power to make our vote count.
