Yes, before it was a craft cocktail bar it was an actual doctor’s office.
“We hope that the goodwill and good health generated in this building will act as a fountainhead for other great friendships and that friends will come here to celebrate kindness and good cheer.” — Sean Murphy
A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, owner Sean Murphy cut his culinary teeth in New Orleans under the guidance of Archie Casbarian at the renowned Arnaud’s.
His attention to detail is evident in the menu. Drinks of note include the Papa Hemingway, made with Ron Matusalem, Lime, grapefruit, and Maraska Maraschino, and the Chet Baker, featuring aged rum, Punt E Mes Sweet Vermouth, Honey, Angostura Bitters, and an orange twist.
Meticulously design inside and out
While it may feel like a throwback on the outside, this concept is clearly crafted with social media in mind. The drinks are so photogenic you almost feel bad imbibing and the decor is stunning.

The views from the bar are second-to-none and the service is excelsior.
It’s where you go when you’re ready to be a tourist in your own state.
A loaded small plates menu
You can bring your appetite with you, too.
The small plates menu goes big on flavor.
The Applejack whiskey beer cheese is a hearty revelation. The Maple Leaf duckling tacos and Novey Nachos (fingerling potatoes with crispy bacon, chives, and garlic aioli) are more than a step above your standard beach bar fare.
If you have a sweet tooth like us you’d do well to savor the bananas foster, which is made with flambeed rum, banana liqueur, and cinnamon sugar and is served over vanilla bean ice cream.
In short, this spot is a must-visit. You can insert your prescription puns here.
