The 13th Annual Great St. Pete Cupcake Contest is set to delight dessert enthusiasts once again as it returns to the Morean Center for Clay (420 22nd St S) on August 24 from 12pm-3pm. This highly anticipated event promises an afternoon filled with sweet treats and friendly competition, all in the name of fundraising for the arts. It’s like our own version of the Great British Baking Show.

Guests have the opportunity to purchase a special 12-count box for $20, allowing them to sample some of the most inventive cupcakes St. Pete has to offer. For those looking to showcase their baking skills, sign-ups are open until Friday, August 9, with a $15 entry fee per flavor submission.

The contest features a variety of categories, including youth/teen, novice, professional, and specialty (gluten-free). Each category encourages bakers of all levels to participate, from budding young chefs to seasoned professionals.

Pre-registered attendees will receive a 12-count box to fill with their choice of mini-cupcakes, providing a chance to sample a dozen different delectable creations. Participants will then cast their vote for their favorite flavor, ultimately deciding the winner of the coveted People’s Choice award.

This decadent fundraising event not only highlights the creativity and talent of local bakers but also supports the Morean Arts Center’s mission to provide arts education and programming to the community.
