Et Cultura St. Pete Cultivating Creativity in the Burg

Take the concept of SXSW, inject it with some Florida flair, place it in beautiful St. Pete and the result is the beautifully executed Et Cultura St. Pete. From November 15-19, Et Cultura returns for its 2nd year with a 5-day culturally immersive event spotlighting Florida-based artists, thinkers, musicians, filmmakers, and entrepreneurs along side their national/international counterparts while cultivating the City of St. Pete’s reputation as a premiere arts and innovation destination in America.

The goal of the festival is to foster conversations with audiences, the community and contributors while supporting emerging artists, ideas and explore the stories that spring from creative collaboration. Et Cultura encourages new avenues of innovative thinking, new collaborations and unique experiences.

Music, film, art and more

Experience a creative melting pot throughout the streets of St. Pete with interactivemusicartfilm, and makers events over an action packed 5 day period. Et Cultura will certainly have something for everyone, boasting over 60 performers across multiple venues in St. Pete, signature speakers, documentaries, art exhibits and makers markets.

Music headliners include Son Volt, Slowdive, Cloud Nothings, Talib Kweli and, St. Pete natives, The Hip Abduction.

Among the films shown will be the North American premiere of The Key to Dalí, a documentary about the exceptional story of Spanish scientist Tomeo L’Amo, who bought an unknown painting in 1989, that he strongly believes is an original Dalí painting.

There will also be free events open to the public including local music, morning yoga, and the Projection Mapping Project.

Et Cultura gives back to the creative community

The soul of a community thrives on the arts that it supports. Et Cultura wants to help build the next generation of artists, filmmakers, musicians, and makers.

A 10% donation of all sponsorships will go to arts and cultural based not-for-profit organizations in St. Petersburg to grow opportunities for the next generation of collaborators!

A young festival with bright future

Et Cultura’s roots grew from the 2015 Craft Film Festival and expanded in 2016 to a full-fledged, multi-faceted event created by the artists, makers, musicians, innovators, filmmakers, educators, and businesses that are blazing their own trail in the evolution of Saint Petersburg.

The success of Et Cultura 2016 is a credit to the team of professionals, the community and volunteers that helped begin the story of this monumental event.

With a strong foundation and dedicated team in place for Et Cultura 2017 , we look to create our next chapter and expand exponentially forward in the years to come.
