Empanada Brothers is a hidden gem with over 150 flavors of empanadas in their flavor library. Located at 9285 Seminole Blvd, they’re only about a 20-minute drive from the Tyrone area. If you’re heading out to the beaches on a weekend, it’s definitely worth the small detour.
Their daily menu features over 30 flavors with staples that range from Traditional Colombian flavors like chicken and potato or just cheese to some funkier flavors like Chicken Philly Cheese, Hawaiian Pizza, and even Fluffer Nutter. They’re constantly experimenting and getting feedback on new favorites from their customers so the flavor library continues to grow! I ordered six empanadas with their Ají and the Taco Love sauce. Next time I’m definitely trying the Cubano Dip and the Cheeserburger Dip sauces. Must-try flavors include:

Gluten-free empanadas made with love
Owner, Camilo, told us that everything is “made from scratch, with fresh ingredients, and most importantly, lots of love”. Their Colombian-style empanada dough is made from corn, and (I didn’t do the exact math but) 99% of the menu is safe for gluten-free diners. Originally, they had a few flavors like mac and cheese on the menu that weren’t completely gluten-free. The overwhelming demand from their diners buying their gluten-free empanada flavors in the dedicated gluten-free fryers led to them discontinuing their flavors that weren’t gluten-free. Now, only the desserts, some scrumptious-looking cookies and brownies baked by a local business, and the teriyaki dipping sauce contain gluten.
The lunch special you need in your life
Their $10 lunch special is one of the best deals we’ve seen in a while. You get 4 empanadas (2 flavors), 1 sauce, and a domestic soda. If you get the veggies empanada flavors, it’s only $8. Size-wise, three empanadas and I’m pretty full so that’s a bonus empanada for later.
Empanada Brothers sells their empanadas both hot and frozen so you can enjoy them now or heat them up at home later. If you’re feeding a crowd (or “meal prepping”) you can also purchase them by the platter ranging in size from 6 (a personal platter) to 50 empanadas. The knowledge that I could bulk order 50 of these guava and mozzarella empanadas is honestly a dangerous thing.
Follow them on Instagram to keep an eye on their latest flavor combos and what’s currently on rotation at Empanada Brothers.
