Grape news in Uptown St. Pete: a new wine room is coming to the neighborhood, as one of our favorite spots for wine and pizza announced huge expansion plans. Flatbread & Butter shared the news today, announcing that they are taking over the space next door to them and expanding their café and restaurant significantly.

The move will almost double Flatbread & Butter’s footprint, and ownership says they will add a wine room next door to the current café. Additionally, the expanded space will create more room for the kitchen and storage, so they plan to update the menu once the renovations are complete.

In their announcement, Flatbread & Butter said it will connect the current café to the new space, creating the wine room and adding tons of additional seating in the process. The cozy café will stay open throughout renovations, but did acknowledge that hours may be affected on some Mondays and Tuesdays, so they recommend checking Instagram for updates.

For those who haven’t been, Flatbread & Butter is truly a St. Pete gem, located at 497 7^th Avenue North. By day, stop in for lovely lattes, hefty breakfast sandwiches and burritos, or weekend brunch. By night, pizza and wine take center stage, with one of the city’s most underrated pizzas and an incredible wine list (with knowledgeable staff to help guide you).
