The biggest Rumble in WWE history in St. Petersburg

During a press conference at the Trade Winds, WWE Superstar Natalya Neidhart said, “This will be the biggest Royal Rumble in WWE history.” We believe the hype.

The Rock has just made his return to WWE and subtly stated his intention to challenge Roman Reigns. The polarizing and always captivating CM Punk has returned to the WWE and will be one of the entrants in the Rumble. The eponymous babyface Cody Rhodes is hell bent on “completing the story” and winning back-to-back rumbles. Megastar Becky Lynch also seems primed to win her second Royal Rumble to challenge the dominant Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.

What I’m trying to say is the company is white hot right now and we expect a huge crowd to gather at Tropicana Field for this event.

A huge Royal Rumble weekend in Tampa Bay

WWE will head to town for an entire weekend of events across St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa, Fla., highlighted by the Royal Rumble on Saturday, January 27 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. Two days later, Monday Night Raw will emanate from Amalie Arena in Tampa on January 29. This marks the first time that the Royal Rumble will be held in Tampa Bay in front of fans since 1995.

Festivities also include a One Deadman Show with the iconic performer The Undertaker in Clearwater. The event takes place on Sunday, January 28 at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater.

Attendees are reminded that there’s a convenient SunRunner Bus Stop right outside Tropicana Field, so you can access this steller event without a car.

WWE brings Premium Live Events to Tampa Bay

Royal Rumble could have major impact on St. Pete

These events often have a significant economic impact. The 2023 event took place in the AlamoDome and drew in 51,338 fans from across the globe. The published capacity of Tropicana Field is 42,735. The Rumble would certainly fill hotels, and have our local restaurants and breweries well occupied during its big weekend of live event festivities.

WWE’s WrestleMania generated nearly $175 million for the Tampa area.
