St. Petersburg, get ready for another exciting pitch night on May 14, 2024, at Bayboro Tavern, located at 121 7th Ave S. This event is part of the 100 Good Guys initiative, a powerful community-driven project that has raised over $25,000 with nearly 100 members donating $100 every quarter since its inception last year. This initiative aims to support local non-profits by providing them with a platform to share their missions and garner support. This year, three exceptional organizations will take the stage: Florida Dream Center, The Sanderlin Center, and Seniors in Service. Take a closer look at these inspiring groups.

Florida Dream Center: Restoring lives and communities

Florida Dream Center tackles critical issues like human trafficking, hunger, and homelessness through initiatives such as Adopt-A-Block and Human Trafficking Rescue. Their holistic approach not only addresses immediate needs but also provides long-term solutions, empowering individuals to lead self-sufficient lives and fostering community transformation across Pinellas County.

The Sanderlin Center enriches the lives of individuals and families with educational, social, and health-related programs. Their Youth Development Program, job readiness training, financial literacy workshops, and community garden are just a few examples of how they build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient St. Petersburg.

Seniors in Service: Bridging generations through volunteerism

Seniors in Service fosters intergenerational connections through volunteer opportunities like the Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions programs. These initiatives not only support children and homebound seniors but also provide older adults with a sense of purpose and fulfillment, enhancing the overall community fabric.
