The Snell Arcade

The Snell Arcade was constructed in 1928 at 405 Central Ave.  The arcade was added to the U.S National Register of Historic Place in ’82.  The building exemplifies the Mediterranean Revival aesthetic that became so prominent in St. Pete.  Today the structure is home to St. Pete staples such as Green Bench Flowers, The Cupcake Spot and Shakolad Chocolate and Espresso Coffee Bar among others.  

The Kress Building

The Kress Building, located at 475 Central Ave was origially part of the S.H Kress & Co. ‘five and dime’ department store chain until ’81.  In 2001 it was added to the U.S. NAtional Register of Historic Places.  Today the Kress building plays host to high ends cafes and fitness centers.
