This is not hyperbole or even opinion: the Tampa Bay Rowdies are the hottest soccer team in America right now. More than two full months into the season, the Rowdies are the only undefeated team left in the USL, and that’s been the case for more than two weeks now. Their latest victory was a 4-1 romp over Miami United at Pitbull Stadium this past Saturday, where even Mr. Worldwide couldn’t stand in their way.
That’s not just hot. That’s en fuego. Combine that with the Tampa Bay Rays’ streak to the top of the division in recent weeks, and St. Pete has a claim to the happiest pro sports city in America right now. Lucky for us, the action isn’t slowing down any time soon.

The Rowdies are back at home this weekend, putting their undefeated record on the line in a huge match against Phoenix Rising FC. The game takes place on Saturday, May 23, at 7 pm. The match is also Military Appreciation Night for the Rowdies, which includes a full salute to service ahead of Memorial Day Weekend.
Additionally, the team is offering $2.50 Budweisers all night in the stadium and in the Fan Zone, plus a specialty ticket package to receive an exclusive Rowdies Military Appreciation Challenge Coin with your match ticket. The Rowdies are also offering discounted tickets for military.
If you haven’t been to a Rowdies game this season, consider this your sign. Under new head coach Dominic Casciato, the boys are absolutely rolling, and the atmosphere at games has been unmatched. Even if you can’t make it this weekend, you still have double-digit opportunities to catch them at home during the regular season, as well as plenty of theme nights. Fingers crossed they stay this hot all year and we’ll once again be hosting postseason soccer at Al Lang Stadium.

It’s the summer of soccer in Tampa Bay, between the Rowdies racing to the top of the league, World Cup Watch Parties coming to St. Pete (including Al Lang!), England vs New Zealand in June ahead of the World Cup, and Wrexham vs Leeds in July, the latter two of which take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Excitement levels for the beautiful game have never been higher in the area, and we’re thrilled to have our hometown Rowdies in the thick of the action. Find tickets for this weekend and other Rowdies home games here.
