Sunken Gardens (1824 4th St N) is a preserved paradise just off 4th Street North in the Sunshine City. The Florida gem has grown to global fame courtesy of its dancing parrots, fabulous flamingos, and captivating rainbow trees. On Sunday, February 25, the venue will host Flamingo Festival. The fun runs 12pm-4:30pm. Get $1 off admission if you wear pink.
Join Sunken Gardens for a variety of festivities throughout the Gardens. Take part in kids’ activities led by Great Explorations. Enjoy live music performed by Joe Farren. St. Pete’s oldest living museum is a botanical oasis. The 100-year-old Sunken Gardens is home to some of the oldest tropical plants in the region. Series of paths, small bridges, and tunnels guide visitors through a living collection of more than thousands of plant species, tropical plants and flowers with lush demonstration gardens, cascading waterfalls, a flock of flamingos, and a colorful array of rehomed tropical birds including macaws, cockatoos, and more.
