The most dapper and vintage event of the season is a couple weeks away. We're talking about Sueños De Dali at the Dali Museum.

What can you expect? Divine cocktails, costumes befitting a Fitzgerald novel and the boisterous, enigmatic dancing that embodied the "Art Deco" movement of Paris in the 1920's.

Parisian life persisted as a reaction to spiritual and material repression. Personal liberty, unique fashion senses, lavish parties and irreverent jazz music comprised Paris's anthem of identity.

Sueños De Dali will pay homage to those desires, but of course with the museum's own surrealist twist.

Dressed to the nines, guests will engage in a soiree that will transport them to worlds found in The Great Gatsby, Boardwalk Empire and Midnight In Paris. The night will include indelible tastes, artisan cocktails, and gourmet cuisine. Those in attendance will also enjoy access to the Dali Museum's Marvels Of Illusion Exhibit as well as the museum's permanent collection.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 11, beginning at 8pm. Tickets to the event are $150 for general admission or $600 for VIP.

The Brocante Market returns the weekend of October 4 so your window of opportunity to browse is close and narrow. Brocante has posted a few teasers of the anticpated fall selection. Their vintage items are colored with the defined hues of autumn and fabrics that would have you believe we were up in New England.
