One of St. Pete’s best gathering spots is about to get a whole lot more exciting, and the best part is it won’t cost you anything to be there.
The Stella Artois Shuffleboard Soirée hits the courts of the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club this Saturday, September 19, from 7-10 pm, and it is exactly the kind of night this city was built for. Local vendors, great food, beats by DJ Ekin spinning all evening, a shuffleboard competition under the lights, and plenty of Stella Artois to go around. It’s free, it’s outdoors, and it’s everything a good September night in St. Pete should look like.

The event is free, but RSVP is required, and spots are limited. Lock in your reservation before this one fills up. Free admission gets you in the door and onto the courts, but if you want to make the most of the evening, the VIP experience is well worth it. For $35, you’ll get Clubhouse access with a curated sampling of Stella Artois, Nutrl, and Cutwater drinks, plus a Stella Artois chalice to take home, three oysters from Lost Coast Oysters, and a popsicle from King of Pops. That’s a full evening packed into one very reasonable ticket.
The St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club (559 Mirror Lake Dr N) is a beloved local spot and the largest and oldest shuffleboard club in the world, which means this is about as good a setting as it gets for a night like this. Sliding pucks across those courts with a cold beer in hand and music in the air is something you won’t forget.
Enter the tourney for a worthy cause
If a great atmosphere and a cold beer aren’t quite enough for you, Stella Artois is hosting a competitive shuffleboard tournament on the main courts that evening. They’re building a field of 16 two-person teams to compete for prizes, and all teams will be selected randomly on September 14. Registration is open now, and while signing up doesn’t guarantee you’ll compete, it’s your only shot at getting in the mix.

Beyond the good vibes and great drinks, the night is doing something important. The Soirée benefits Bay It Forward, an organization dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients by providing access to technology that helps them stay connected to loved ones during treatment. Their mission is to create moments of normalcy in one of the most difficult journeys imaginable, and every person who shows up is helping make that possible.
Free admission, the world’s most iconic shuffleboard courts, great food, solid beats, cold beer, local community, and a cause that matters. This is St. Pete doing what it does best, and this is one you don’t want to sit out.
Get your RSVP locked in, recruit a partner for the tournament, and we’ll see you under the lights on September 19.
