The St. Pete Skatepark will celebrate its 7th anniversary on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The massive skatepark is located at 600 12th Street South.
Alexa, play “Superman” by Goldfinger. That song pulses through my head every time I see footage from the amazing array of skaters at St. Pete Skatepark. Their Instagram account is filled with phenomenal clips of local talent putting together captivating sequences at the park. At 28,000 square feet, the St. Pete Regional Skatepark is a hub of creative exploration—and it’s throwing a birthday bash.

The anniversary celebration will include skate competitions with cash prizes, food trucks, a local market, DJs, a Hall of Fame ceremony, and live music. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you can see a full schedule of activities on St. Pete Skatepark’s Instagram.
The million dollar St. Pete Skatepark
One the main sponsors of the event is Anchor Skate Supply, my personal favorite shop in all of St. Pete. You can visit it at 501 16th Street South. The shop features a 4-foot-tall, 16-foot-wide halfpipe open on designated days and hours for customers to skate. A digital liability lelease form must be completed before using the ramp. If under 18, the form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Mini ramp hours, rules, and the required release form are available on Anchor Skate’s website.
Located in the Campbell Park neighborhood, the $1.25 million skatepark features one-of-a-kind design elements, including the deepest skate bowl in Florida. Skaters can’t wait to enjoy the summer here.
A beautiful community space in the Sunshine City
The skatepark was designed and built by Cutler Associates, Team Pain Skate Parks, Hunter Booth of Booth Design Group, and Dan Vickstrom of Vickstrom Engineering.
It offers features for all skill levels, including a street course, a snake run, an intermediate bowl, and a deep bowl. The 12-foot-deep bowl is the deepest of its kind in Florida and was built for advanced skateboarders and BMX riders.
