Sky St. Pete, a giant residential tower, is in the works for the EDGE District. The Tampa Bay Business Journal just reported that the developer, DevMar Development, has purchased several properties in the area, and the tower will take over 1624, 1642, 1650, and 1662 Burlington Avenue North.

The developer bought the site at 1624 Burlington Ave. N for $4.5 million from Valrico-based Koterba Investments FL LLC, according to a Pinellas County deed the TBBJ pulled. DevMar is also behind the 11-story Vantage St. Pete apartment building and The Metro in the Edge District.

Sky St. Pete will consist of 246 market rate apartment units and a 241-space parking garage, according to the developers. Plans for co-working space on the property are in the works as well. The project was approved by the Development Review Commission in the fall of 2022.

Construction is slated to begin soon, and will be completed in late 2025. Planned residential amenities will include a rooftop pool and lounge, bike storage, a sky deck, and fire pits.

DevMar’s other ongoing project, The METRO, is a 100-unit, 7-story apartment building. This will be an all-studio apartment building at 77 11th Street North.
