Right Around the Corner Arcade Bar celebrates 8 years in St. Pete with Octoberfest party

Right Around the Corner Arcade Bar celebrates 8 years in St. Pete with Octoberfest party

Right Around the Corner (2244 Central Ave.) became St. Pete’s first craft beer hub and retro arcade when it opened in 2017. Founded by local beer enthusiasts John McMahan and Tom Rockhill, it has since become a staple for craft beers and video games.

This year marks the 8th anniversary of Right Around the Corner (RATC) in the Grand Central District, a perfect time to channel your inner gamer and dive into nostalgia. The bar features over 20 retro games, including classics like Mario, Pac-Man, and pinball—my personal favorite—where you can play solo or challenge a friend. While many games are free, some require quarters (and there’s an ATM on-site).

The owners are throwing a big 8th Anniversary Party and Octoberfest Celebration on September 14 beginning at noon. They are tapping (at minimum) 8 unique and delicious Octoberfest beers from all over the country; and the first 50 customers will get a commemorative RATC 8 Year Anniversary Octoberfest beer koozie.

Sip beers from around the world while you immerse in a game

RATC offers a wide variety of local and international beers and wines. As the owners say, “…sip on our curated selection of craft beers, each brew as unique as the pixelated adventures on screen.”

Despite all the beer and wine, this arcade bar is family-friendly. Kids are welcome to hangout and game, too (with adult supervision, of course). Keep up with events, deals, and specials by following them on Facebook.
