Whether you’re riding out the holidays solo, or hanging with the whole family in town, sometimes the key to a holly jolly Christmas is getting out of the house for a little bit. And luckily, while most spots close up shop for the occasion, there are a handful of excellent restaurants and bars that will be open on Christmas Day in St. Pete this year, this Sunday the 25th.
If you need a good meal, or just somewhere to have a drink with loved ones at the end of the day, we’ve got you covered with options. In 2021, I spent Christmas afternoon with my toes in the sand at Postcard Inn. In 2020, I started Christmas off with pancakes and a Guinness at Hollander Hotel (Merry Christmas to me). Back on Christmas Day 2016, it was even warm enough to go for a swim at The Vinoy and enjoy some snacks from Paul’s Landing.
It may be a little chilly for a dip in the pool this year, but if you’re looking for a bite to eat or somewhere to hang, these are some of the best choices in town. And of course, be sure to tip the staff working on Christmas. Hours and openings may change.
