PSTA hosts Sunset Serenade this Wednesday with live bands on SunRunner routes

If you like your sunset with a side of local music and a free ride to the beach, then Wednesday night will be a fun one. The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will be hosting its first-ever Sunset Serenade this Wednesday, March 8, bringing live music to the SunRunner route.

As part of these festivities, six local bands will hop onto each of the SunRunner routes going from downtown to the beach and serenade riders with live music throughout the journey. This will take place from 4:30-6:30 pm, as the bands will play into the sunset as riders come and go from the beach. PSTA encourages anyone to hop a ride in the early portion, catch the sunset at one of the beach stops, then catch a bus back later. As always (until November, anyway) the SunRunner is completely free for anyone to hop on one of the many stops along the route.

“Two of the best things about this area are the stunning sunsets and talented musicians,” said Brad Miller, Chief Executive Officer of PSTA. “St. Pete Beach is known as the sunset capital in Florida, so we thought we’d enhance the SunRunner experience by serenading our guests during the ride to the beach. The combination of live music on the bus and sunset on the beach will make for a memorable evening.”
