April is National Poetry Month, and in St. Petersburg, the spoken word scene is taking center stage. One event bringing poetry to the forefront is Poetry & Prose, an open, welcoming evening designed for storytellers, poets, and anyone who loves the rhythm of words.

Attendees are encouraged to “bring your voice, your stories, or simply your ears to enjoy a laid-back vibe with fellow word lovers.” Whether you’re a writer, a listener, or just someone who enjoys seeing the talent of others, it’s a chance to share and be inspired. The event takes place on Tuesday, April 28, from 6:30-8 pm at the President Barack Obama Main Library in St. Pete.
