Pleasure & Philanthropy Bound in SexXx Dreams [NSFW]

Pleasure & Philanthropy Bound in SexXx Dreams [NSFW]

This weekend the ‘Burg is indulging in its most unadulterated, irreverent, viscious and euphoric desires.  The term pleasure is an understatement in conversation with this exhibition that pushes the boundaries and taboos of gender, sexuality and fetish: SexXx Dreams.

50+ artists, burlesque performers, muscians, actors and cabaret artists will collaborate to create an experience that bounds voyeurism, sensuality and fixation into an immolated bundle.  Since the publication of works like Madame Bovary and Howl academics have wrestled with the concepts of Art and Porn, deserately attempting to identify the distinguishable traits that make a work either one or the other.  SexXx Dreams, presented by the fabulous and uncensored duo of Coco & Homo, repudiates such arcane distinctions and instead focuses their energies on eliciting and excavating our most instinctual and primal forms of enjoyment to create an atmosphere where all in attendence are liberated from their apprehensive and uncomfortable bag of bones.

The event will take place at 9pm and again at 11pm tonight, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, at Station NumberThree.  Station NumberThree is located at 2701 5th Ave S in the sea foam garage known for harboring the most enigmatic and eccentric artists. Tickets are $15 for general admission or $25 for reserved seating. All proceeds from alcohol sales will support Equality Florida, an organization securing equality and justice for Florida’s LGBT community. Get philanthropic you philanderer.  Doors open an hour before mainstage performances.  Get out of your head and shed that inhibited snake skin you wear for the 9 to 5.  For one weekend live exposed under the cover of night.  As Flaubert said, "Human speech is like a cracked kettle on which we tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt the stars.”  Let Coco & Homo melt you.
