There are some truly beautiful yards in the Sunshine City. One stroll around Tropical Shores and Driftwood has me feeling like I’ve entered Narnia. The City of St. Pete wants to recognize these spots in its annual Beautification Awards. Nominations are officially open.

These awards celebrate excellence in landscaping and building design across the community. Residents, businesses, and community members are encouraged to participate in this celebration of St. Pete’s beauty by submitting nominations for properties that exemplify the spirit of the City Beautification Awards, according to a press release.

These awards honor outstanding achievements in both residential and business properties, recognizing exceptional efforts in exterior curb appeal, landscaping design, yard maintenance, and the overall enhancement of the neighborhood’s character. These awards are presented by the City Beautiful Commission Committee, which is dedicated to enhancing and safeguarding the beauty of our natural resources and city landscapes, thereby enriching the quality of life for our community.

To be eligible for nomination, properties must be located within the city limits of St. Petersburg, and the nominated landscape must have been in place for at least one year. Nominations will be accepted through August 1, 2024, until 11:59pm.
