Calling all sinners and saints: a new speakeasy is set to debut in the Sunshine city. The Saint is readying for a debut in the ‘Burg on September 19. The owner made the announcement on a Facebook post.

“Sinners be ready to confess. Reservations will NOT be accepted at this point. It is first come first served! Masks will be required for entry and moving about the speakeasy. Social distancing will be enforced. We look forward to turning sinners into saints one drink at a time.”

The speakeasy will open at 5pm on September 19. This debut comes after The Saint was able to secure a food license.

“Lurking behind a discrete, unassuming entryway on a side street in the Grand Central District of St. Petersburg awaits an unrivaled cocktail experience,” writes. owner David Fischer on The Saint’s website.

“The Saint invites you in to confess life’s darkest sins, enjoy fine cocktails and even finer company. Allow one of our Resident Mischief-Makers serve you one our 7 Deadly Sins and be whisked away.”

The lush decor inside includes a remix of a classic painting by the prolific Vitale Brothers. Seating includes a black leather throne with angel wings that seems plucked straight from the mind of Tim Burton in his creative prime.

Visitors will also see a mural by famed local artist Chad Mize inside The Saint.

Follow the concept on Facebook and Instagram for frequent updates on the buildout and a potential opening timeline.
