Tampa Bay is a wrestling region. This Friday night, March 29, Major League Pro Wrestling brings War Chamber to the St. Pete Coliseum (535 4th Ave N). The show kicks off at 7pm, and tickets can be reserved online.
For pro wrestling purists in the Tampa Bay region, the opportunity to see MLW Champion Kojima live feels like a once-in-a-lifetime occasion. His match pedigree is phenomenal, and the superstar’s 2023 PPV slugfest with CM Punk exceeded already high expectations.

WCW/ECW legend, former WWE Hardcore Champion and TNA World Champion Raven is also on the match card. Independent wrestling star Matt Riddle, international sensation Unagi Sayaka, the hard-hitting Janai Kai, and the dynamic duo of Davey Boy Smith and Tom Lawlor are just a few of the names slated for this card.
Here’s a quick rundown of the main event War Chamber rules if you’re new to this form of entertainment:
- A coin toss determines which team enters first.
- 1-on-1 for 5:00 in stage 1 of the War Chamber.
- The winner of coin toss comes out for 2-on-1.
- Alternating teams have wrestlers enter every 2 minutes.
- Once all combatants are in the War Chamber, victory is won by submission, surrender or pinfall.
Transforming the historic St. Pete Coliseum
We are also thrilled to see how this event looks inside the St. Pete Coliseum. I’ve been to book fairs, poetry readings, big concerts, fundraiser galas, and business conferences inside this venue. Never did I imagine I would see a steel cage inside this historic Coliseum.
Tampa and St. Pete have both served as home bases for WWE Raw and SmackDown, and Raymond James Stadium hosted Wrestlemania while Tropicana Field most recently served as the venue for the Royal Rumble. The Yuengling Center in Tampa hosted All Elite Wrestling’s 200th episode of Dynamite. The hallowed halls of St. Pete Coliseum are also no stranger to pro wrestling. In 2021 and 2022 New Japan Pro Wrestling brought its North American.
