Get your innertubes and floating coolers ready – a massive party on the water is coming to the beaches this October. Hosted at the John’s Pass Sandbar, the Madeira Beach Floatilla takes places Saturday, October 7 from 12-5 pm in the clear blue waters of the gulf.
The sprawling celebration in the water is being hosted by the group dubbing itself “John’s Pass Sandbar Day Drinkers,” who aim to set records with the crowd. There is no cost to join in the fun – you just have to find your way out to the sandbar.

From the event page: “Get there early to get your boat spots. If you can’t find a single spot for your boat just go ahead and tie up to another boat and float in! Doesn’t matter how you get there, just show up to float up! Grab your friends and be there! Let’s break records with the most floats at the sandbar!!”
For more summer fun on the beach, be sure to check out the annual Madeira Beach Nautical Flea Market taking place Saturday and Sunday, September 16 and 17 at 9 am.
