As many across the country feel helpless watching events unfold in Ukraine, a St. Pete distillery is taking action to support the crisis. Kozuba and Sons Distillery announced that it will be donating the entirety of proceeds from all sales of vodka in its gift shop this week to Care – Ukraine Emergency.

Kozuba and Sons is a family-run distillery founded in Poland in 2005 that moved to St. Pete a few years ago, making the crisis between Ukraine and Russia one that hits close to home for the Polish family. In a post on facebook, the distillery emphasized that it will be donating the entirety of each sale to help the Ukraine, not just the net profits.

“Through the end of this week, ALL THE MONEY (not profits only) coming from the sales of our vodka at our gift store, will be donated to CARE – UKRAINE EMERGENCY (https://www.care.org/),” the post said. “We will make the process FULLY TRANSPARENT, by showing you our sales report and a proof of donation!”

The distillery and gift shop can be found at 1960 5th Avenue South in St. Petersburg.

The Skyway Bridge was lit up last night in yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and Mayor Ken Welch announced that the Pier District will soon be lit with the same colors in a show of support.
