King State will open a brand new cafe in downtown St. Pete alongside COhatch at 15 8th Street North. After months of anticipation, King State officially opens this Friday, December 8, hosting a “booze-only” opening party from 4-11 pm. King State will officially open and introduce its full food menu on Tuesday, December 12.
King State’s Tampa location has been widely regarded as one of the top coffee shops in Tampa Bay and even made Food & Wine’s list of the best coffee shops in America. In addition to serving up sensational cold brew and lattes, King State also brews their own beer which will be available onsite, and crafts one of the most heralded cafe menus in the region.
King State’s St. Pete location will operate the following schedule:
- Breakfast 8am-11am
- Lunch 11am-4pm
- Happy Hour 4pm-6pm
- Dinner service starting at 5PM

Secondly, KS St Pete is its own place and concept. We brought the same focus, detail and vibe from Tampa that makes us who we are, but with the opportunity to build a restaurant concept that we’re so stoked to crush” wrote the King State owners in the official announcement post this week.
