Il Ritorno launches dinner series with a 6-course caviar experience

Il Ritorno (449 Central Avenue) is regarded as one of the best restaurants in St. Pete. In a recent poll I Love the ‘Burg pushed out to its readers asking which St. Pete restaurant would most deserves a MICHELIN star, the overwhelming favorite was Il Ritorno by a wide margin. Chef Benstock is a masterful cook who never rests on the laurels of his continued success. Next week, Benstock and the Il Ritorno team will host a 6-course Caviar Dinner.

The event begins at 6:30pm on Wednesday, August 2, and costs $235 per person. This does not include alcohol except for opening champagne toast or N/A option if preferred. Reservations can be made on Tock or through IL Ritorno’s website. Here’s the full menu:

  • 1st Course – Fish Eggs and Chips with Classic Oscietra
  • 2nd Course – Classic Caviar Preparation with Beluga Hybrid, Golden Oscietra and American Sturgeon Caviar
  • 3rd Course – Squid Ink Capellini with Caviar Longotto
  • 4th Course – Sacchetto with American Sturgeon and Classic Oscietra
  • 5th Course – Sole with Broken Beurre Blanc, Spring Onion Oil, Sturgeon Caviar
  • 6th Crouse – Peaches and Cream

August 23: Local Olivor Farms Dinner – Olivor Farm is a local farm out of Dover. IL Ritorno sources all of its chicken, duck, rabbit and Berkshire pork from them, and this menu will highlight all of these. Amazing Quality!

September 6: Wine Dinner – Creating a seasonal menu to highlight a selection of wines from Antinori. They will be pulling something special that has been aging in their cellar just for this dinner. More details soon!

September 27: Japanese Fish Dinner – We will be sourcing some of the most incredible fish from the Japanese seafood market. Expect to see lots of raw applications with some lightly and delicately cooked.

October 11: Local Fort McCoy Dinner – Fort McCoy Ranch is a local ranch that supplies IL Ritorno with all of its grass fed beef. The menu will be highlighting some of our favorite cuts to create a six-course experience.

October 25: This is a very special menu celebrating IL Ritoro’s favorite dishes over the last ten years. After the private dinner in October, this menu will be offered to all IL Ritorno guests for the entire month of November.
