Hideaway Cafe celebrates 10th anniversary with giant concert

Hideaway Cafe celebrates 10th anniversary with giant concert

The Hideaway Cafe isn’t so hidden anymore. The Grand Central District venue has long been the stomping grounds for aspiring musicians in Tampa Bay as well as established artists from across the country. It’s an intimate listening room, a fun hangout, and most of all, an absolute institution in the local arts scene. 10 years later, the Hideaway Cafe is still our favorite concert venue.

It’s time to celebrate what makes St. Pete special! On April 13, The Hideaway Cafe will host X Fest — and indoor-outdoor live music and market extravaganza featuring 30 local vendors and 16 bands. Who’s performing?

Massive vinyl music market at the Hideaway

The venue is shutting down 18th Street South and packing it with a stage, an outdoor bar, and vendors selling vinyl, vintage goods and instruments. The always exceptional Urban Brew & BBQ will be serving their unreal savory creations. Sipping Nomads, Saint Pete’s newest Mobile Bar, will be serving local craft beer and wine.

Vinyl and VIntage are setting up a giant music market for audiophiles to sink their proverbial teeth into. It’s a local music lover’s shopping paradise.

It’s totally family-friendly and dog-friendly, too. Revolution Contractors and Revolution Real Estate will be providing a game station and all things fun for kids! Don’t worry, the games are for adults as well.

Grand Central district neighbors join the celebration

The Hideaway isn’t alone in this celebration. Their neighbors at The Burg Bar & Grill, Lolita’s Wine Market, Avid Brew Company, Spitfire Theater and Neosoul Cafe are all getting in on the fun.

X Fest takes place from 2-10pm on Saturday, April 13 at 1756 Central Avenue. You can find full event details on the Hideaway’s Facebook event page. Who’s ready to celebrate this institution?
