Hamburger Mary’s Heads to the Burg

The surge of food and fun in St. Pete continues to extend beyond the borders of downtown with the anticipated arrival of Hamburger Mary's. The restaurant has long been a staple in the LGBT community. The original restaurant was a "funky, friendly dive put together on a shoe-string budget." 44 years later, Hamburger Mary's has 14 locations across the country with its 15th set to open late this summer in the Tyrone area of St. Pete.

Hamburger Mary's is far from a chain. They consider each new franchise a locally-owned independent restaurant. Each new spot reflects the character of the city it opens in. The Burg location (right across from Tyrone Square Mall and Cobb Theater) features over 50 parking spaces, a 1,500 square foot patio and over 3,600 square feet of interior space.
