St. Pete’s Magnolia Heights neighborhood is set to get its first craft brewery in October. Golden Isles Brewing Co. has nearly finished the buildout of its family (and dog) friendly brewery at 3000 Dr. MLK Jr St N, converting the one-time gas station into a bright and open space for locals to gather.
Golden Isles is nearly ready for its grand reveal, expected to come in the first week of October. The family behind it all, Angie and Jonathan (and their two kids and two dogs), have been renovating, painting, and preparing the space to be the home for their vision of a neighborhood brewery full of beer, food and “a lot of fun and love.”

The indoor/outdoor space will of course offer plenty of “damn good beer,” and owners say to expect rotating food trucks. They will also serve non-alcoholic options and have Prosecco and wine on tap. As part of the renovation, the area formerly home to the gas station fill-up spots has been converted into a covered outdoor games and relaxation space, taking advantage of the large footprint. There is an indoor-outdoor bar area, as well an indoor air conditioned lounge.
Angie is a St. Pete native, while Jonathan grew up in LaGrange and Jekyll Island, the inspiration for the name Golden Isles. Encouraging guests with the tagline “Stay Golden,” the family-run brewery will be a laid-back, warm and inviting space offering an enjoyable destination for everyone in the area – adults, kids, and dogs alike.
Golden Isles is joining several popular businesses on the bustling MLK corridor, including neighbors across the street such as Sunset Grille and Pineapple Espresso.
