Got a sweet tooth? Look no further to satisfy your cravings. A new dessert bar comes to St. Pete with at least 50 choices of desserts and pastries! 

 

Everything Dolce, located at 937 Central Ave., offers everything from biscottis, flourless chocolate cakes, cobblers, cheesecakes, cannolis, gelato, macaroons, scones, danish, strudels, and pies. Sounds pretty heavenly. And the man behind the menu who makes everything from scratch is award-winning Chef Michael Ostrander.

 

Chef Michael hails from New Jersey and has worked for some of the most prestigious hotels around the country as Executive Pastry Chef such as the Beverly Hills Hilton, the Intercontinental in Miami and the Hyatt Regency in Orlando. He’s even consulted for Donald Trump’s Mar a Lago Club in Palm Beach. In addition to baking desserts for the restaurant, he spends time teaching aspiring pastry chefs at his own facility up in Largo.

 

However, Everything Dolce is more than just desserts, they are open 7 days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner which also goes with their wide selection of coffee, craft beers and fine wine (just in case you were thinking of going with a friend who doesn’t care much for sweets!).

 

With a huge courtyard and outdoor seating, the joint serves up some good entertainment with open mic on Mondays (7-10pm), a jazz jam Tuesdays (7:30-10:30pm), blues on Thursdays (7-10pm) and tropical vibes every Sunday (12-3pm).

2013 is already looking up for Raphael and Sarah Perrier, owners of Kahwa Cafe that’s steadily gaining popularity not just in the ‘Burg but even across the bridge in Tampa after opening two additional locations last year. 

 

Kahwa is soon-to-open its third location right inside the west wing lobby of Bayfront Hospital on 6th Ave. S. and 7th Street which will be popular especially with the growing population of nurses, doctors and staff from Bayfront and All Children’s Hospitals.

 

Just like its original location in Kahwa North (475 2nd St. N), this spot will be serving their own blends of coffee roasted locally to guarantee their freshness along with some delicious breads and pastries!

Kahwa Bayfront is slated to open in the first week of February 2013.
