Local pickleballers can rejoice: your new home for dinks is now open in Largo. Opened by a professional tennis and pickleball coach, Dink House is a pickleball community and social club that just celebrated its grand opening at 8116 Ulmerton Road.
The nearly 15,000-foot facility is an absolute dream for pickleball fans, including four indoor courts and a sprawling outdoor space that includes a cold plunge, sauna, and fitness equipment. The 10,000+ sq.-ft. indoor facility also includes a lounge, event space, showers, and restrooms. Between it all, Dink House is a true oasis, and as a 24-hour facility, it’s the perfect destination any time and any day.
Having indoor courts is a boon for the area, particularly during hot and rainy summer or the brief but chilly winter. And best of all, the facility caters to all levels of play. Casual pickleballers who just want a consistent place to play will find exactly what they need, while newcomers or intermediate players intent on upping their game can get training and coaching from some of the game’s most experienced professionals.
Plus, with the workout area, cold plunge, and sauna, it is truly a full-service athletic facility, and a Dink House membership effectively serves as a full gym.
Dink House is a local dream brought to life
Dink House was opened by Brandon Anandan, a local raised in Clearwater and St. Pete who has spent years as a professional tennis and pickleball player and coach. As recently as this spring, Anandan was one of the world’s top 50 ranked pickleball players, and his tennis coaching experience includes multiple No. 1 players in the US and individuals who have reached the finals of Wimbledon and the Australian Open.
Now, Anandan is bringing that skill and passion home with the debut of Dink House, the sparkling new facility in Largo. In particular, he’s using his skills to help pickleballers and athletes of all levels up their game. With his expertise, the sprawling facility, and the help of fellow pickleball coaches, Anandan is offering the region’s best coaching and training.
Whether it’s young pickleball players trying to go pro, or current pro players who want to up their game, their team offers full, one-one-one training. And with the wellness facility on hand, members can also sign up for personal training and even athletic performance training.
Dink House is catered toward its $199.99/month memberships (which include unlimited 24-hour access to the entire facility and its amenities). However, the pickleball club is also open to walk-ins who can jump in and play any time for $20, or rent an entire court for just $40 an hour.
As the pickleball movement takes off locally, we’re excited to see how Dink House grows. Anandan says they plan to become a community hub, hosting local tournaments, social events, and even collaborations with local and national brands.
